Lots has been happening. MYC and CBS/CIL stuff, Rice, study camp and reunions, Glue...

Q. Why do you always post stuff about CityRail?
A. Do you want to know why? Because I don't like the whole concept of blogging, so I choose to fill this space with meaningless crap - just like what most other people do with their blogs (most, not all). This blog was the result of an accident, and an accident it shall remain.

Q. Where's all this deep and meaningful stuff about yourself?
A. If you want a good DnM with me, then come and talk to me. I'm always available. I enjoy good proper conversations, as opposed to superficial ones. Perhaps if people went beyond the surface they may discover a layer of me they never knew...

Q. If you choose to post crap, then why CityRail?
A. Well it seems to be the thing which I know stuff about.

Q. Why don't you ever post a second-by-second recount of what you did yesterday?
A. Because I don't see the need to.

Q. What is one thing which concerns you about blogs?
A. The fact that a lot of Christians write like God doesn't play a central part in their life. And I was like that before the uni holidays with the earlier blog posts. This attitude reminds me of something from MYC: the person who says, "thanks God for saving me, now I'll just live life for myself".

Where is God in someone's minute-by-minute recount of their massive shopping spree on the things of this world? Do people realise they misuse God's name when they type "OM_"? Where is Christ when someone talks about hot guys/girls? Are people really serious about being slaves of righteousness?

Q. What is one thing that concerns you about people?
A. One thing? The humour of some people who call themselves Christians. Some people think its funny to bag others, whether it be people of different ethnic backgrounds or even people of their own background ("man, who's being asian?!"). God loves everybody, and Jesus died for everybody. He died for those who struggle to speak English, those with disabilities, he died for the ABC...he died for all sinners. So how is it bringing glory to God when someone uses their tongue uncontrollably? That's something challenging I got from MYC.

Well that turned into a rather interesting post...

I get what you mean about Christians blogging like God doesn't play a central part in their lives...but the nature of blogs is that they don't necessarily have to provide an accurate or complete view of a person's life...but then of course everyone must be careful of how they portray themselves, lest people get the wrong impression...

Interestingly, you can see how Godly someone is, in their day to day activities. The way someone thinks and acts reflects a lot about how Christ-centred their life is.

Just mentioning the fact that you were "at church" doesn't reveal much. Nor does getting opinions from others about issues in your life, whether it is explicitly asked for or not.

Sometimes we have a syncretistic approach to Christian living. It becomes worldly thinking mixed in with Christian thinking. Rather, it should be deterministic; God's kingdom should drive our passions and inclinations. I suppose that extends to web logs.

i agree with viv. what a person blogs about may not completely reflect who they are. yes maybe a part of them is being expressed in a way that may imply something, but remember, anyone behind a monitor can just be someone else within. and who are we to judge people just by their blogs or whatsoever? seriously, only God knows who we really are.

and yes i found this post rather interesting as well. (:
