That's a nice toilet

Some of you might have seen the news stories about CityRail's newest train - the Outer Suburban Carriages, or Oscars.

There's one toilet per four cars, and it sure looks nice!

Look carefully in that picture - there's two help points in there. One of them is that red button close to the floor next to that red sticker. I wonder why they would put one there.

Even the cubicle unit itself looks rather slick...kinda like a space capsule or something!

Yeah! Look out for the Oscars on the network, from mid-2006 onwards. They will be doing outer suburban runs to Springwood, Wyong and Kiama.

The current Outer-Suburban (Really Wyong, Kiama and Lithgow???) styled tangaras are fitted with toilets. They only smell a bit right near them.

I think the button near the floor is just in case you may slip and fall over. (Pretty standard practice in retirement villages).

Ok, maybe not Lithgow, but still... Springwood, Wyong and Kiama are all a long way from the Sydney Suburban basin. Calling them outer-suburban is a bit much.
