More TLS action!

The TLS gets interesting when there are delays! Interesting to watch, but probably no fun for those actually caught up in the delay...right?

The lovely North Shore Line got a double dose yesterday - signal problems at Pymble and a sick passenger at Waverton (which caused all trains to stop running through the station) plunged about 13 trains in both directions into the red. You can only see 10 of them in the screenshot below.

It's like train constipation...the trains all want to pass through, but they can't! =P

Run 75-K (again! - see earlier post) got to Central 32 minutes late! All the other red trains were running about 20 minutes late. Needless to say, the vulnerable and complex nature of the network meant North Shore Line delays flowed onto the Northern and Western lines.

WOW WHAT AN AFTERNOON OF ACTION!

Oh yeah, and those who were at CommQuip - can you find North Sydney Car Sidings on the TLS? ;)

I have a question: how does a sick passenger at Waverton cause all trains to stop running through the station?

vivian: ahhh it's RailCorp's safety policy - if someone needs emergency medical attention, trains have to stop.

but I've also wondered that too...trains in the opposite direction don't really need to stop...hrmmmm...

char: why thank you!
